Veterinary surgeon

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care, diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions in animals, and delivering outstanding client experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity arisen due to internal progression. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, confident in their recommendations and strong interest in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging.

Key responsibility

  • Day-to-day duties mainly consult providing patient and owner satisfaction

  • Providing a high standard of clinical care to your clients and patients, ensuring compliance, and encouraging a progressive clinical culture across the team

  • Demonstrating a strong customer focus, managing the consistent delivery of exceptional care across the client journey

  • Support the team and help develop skills where required

Skill & Experiences

  • RCVS registered with 2-5 years’ small animal experience

  • Team player - working collaboratively in practice and with wider colleagues

  • Great communication skills

  • A strong all-rounder, confident with routine surgeries and consults

Salary & Benefit

  • A comprehensive package starting from £45,000 - £60,000 DOE

  • £1500 CPD allowance with 2 -days CPD leave

  • RCVS, BVA and VDS fees paid

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

The branch

The practice is well equipped with Stortz Endoscopy/Arthroscopy, ultrasound, digital direct x-rays, and an IDEXX blood machine in-house.

We have a friendly team led by Dr. Dario Ambrogio, our Lead Vet, and supported by our fantastic nursing team, which includes our Head Nurse and dedicated support colleagues.

Through Elizavet's collaborative approach, we will soon have access to advanced diagnostics. We plan to install a CT Imaging machine as soon as the practice is ready, and we are also planning to set up a physiotherapy room.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive and close-knit team at Elizavet.  You will work on a rotation between Ops, Consultations and Inpatient Care. This role would suit Registered Veterinary Nurses looking for a change!

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice.

This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas and set a high vet standard for the practice; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team while the business is growing.

Key responsibility

 As a Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practices with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice. You will also assist in the training of our Vet Care Assistants.

Skill & Experiences

  • Able to carry out veterinary nursing duties as listed above

  • Confidence and experience in effective handling and restraint of animals

  • RCVS Listed Veterinary Nurse

  • Knowledge of the Gold standard 

  • Communicating effectively with clients

  • Ability to work within a team

  • Ability to act independently

  • Flexible approach to work

  • Interest in advancing own qualifications

Salary & Benefit

  • A comprehensive package starting from £30,000 - £33,000 DOE

  • £500 CPD allowance and 2 days of paid CPD leave per year (CPD is actively encouraged)

  • Pension 5%/3% employee

  • Sick pay leave 5 days; subject to meeting the relevant qualification criteria you may be eligible to receive Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)

  • RCVS VN Renewal fees paid 

  • Flexible rota

  • 6.6 weeks including bank holidays 

  • 1 half-day Saturday in 4

The clinic

Our lovely brand-new veterinary clinic is based on Belsize Road NW6. We are setting up to deliver gold-standard treatment for pets and we are installing state-of-the-art technology. This is equipped with 3 consult rooms, 2 theatres, a house lab, 1 dentistry suite, CT, 1 physio room and digital x-ray facilities, and separate dog, cat and infective pathology wards. 
 

This is a Full-Time position, and we can offer flexibility on the number of working days/hours to suit you.
