Our clinic features a dedicated surgical theatre specifically designed for orthopaedic and advanced procedures. This separate, purpose-built operating room ensures the highest standards of sterility, contributing to our very low complication rate of less than 2% over the past years. The theatre is located away from other clinical areas and is equipped with an isolated ventilation system to maintain a sterile environment and minimise infection risk.

We also utilise an intraoperative direct imaging system that allows our surgeons to visualise and confirm implant placement and fracture alignment in real time during surgery. This advanced technology enhances surgical precision and outcomes, supporting faster recovery and improved long-term results.

Your pet’s general anaesthesia is closely monitored by our highly qualified team using state-of-the-art ventilators and ECG monitoring to reduce anaesthetic risk. Additionally, we employ ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to significantly minimise pain during and after surgery, ensuring your pet’s comfort throughout the procedure.

All orthopaedic surgeries at Elizavet are performed by Dr. Dario Ambrogio, who holds a postgraduate qualification in surgery. Dr. Dario has completed extensive specialist training and examinations, earning KYON certification to perform total hip replacement (THR) procedures with KYON implants for patients of any size, including dogs and cats.
